In termsof the overall downward trend between 2010 and 2019, the difference betweenrates (-60%) and the number of incidents (-55%) is small compared to themagnitude of the trend. The volume of cases involving men sentenced to custody increased as well (from 176 to 227). Notably, between 2015 and 2019, in incidents where the sex-trade-related offence was a secondary violation, the most serious violation in the incident was most frequently human trafficking.
